About Splicepoint for ArcGIS.

What do I need to run Splicepoint?

Your fiber cables and structures in an ArcGIS file geodatabase, and a Windows PC or server with ArcGIS Pro on it. Splicepoint runs on that machine, next to your project. Field crews only need a phone with a web browser. They do not need an ArcGIS license.

Will it change my GIS?

Not until you say so. We set it up on a copy of your geodatabase first. Things added in the field stay in Splicepoint's own layers and wait for an admin. When an admin approves one, it is copied into your matching layer. Moving onto your main geodatabase is a step you decide on.

Do I need ArcGIS Online?

No. Splicepoint does not publish anything to ArcGIS Online. Your data stays in your geodatabase.

We keep fiber counts in a spreadsheet. Can you use it?

Yes. That is where most networks start. We load your spreadsheet and keep the original text next to each fiber. Rows that mix an address with a status, or that look wrong, are flagged so someone can check them.

Which phones does it work on?

iPhone and Android. It opens in the browser, and you can add it to the home screen so it opens like an app. There is nothing to install from an app store.

Does it work with no signal?

You can look at what is already on screen, but changes need a connection. The app tells you when you are offline. Nothing you already saved is lost.

Can two people edit the same fiber at once?

Yes, safely. If someone else saved first, you see what they changed and choose to keep theirs or save yours over it. Nothing is overwritten by surprise.

What if someone deletes the wrong thing?

Deletes are held for 30 days. An admin can restore them in one tap. Fiber edits also have an Undo button right after you save, and every change stays in the history.

How does sign-in work?

People sign in with their work email. They get a one-time code by email. There are no passwords to manage. An admin decides who can view, who can edit and who can manage people.

Can I get my data out?

Yes. Your records live in your own geodatabase. You can also download every fiber as a CSV file at any time.

Does it read OTDR files?

It reads CSV exports and matches each loss to the right splice. You see a preview before anything is saved. SOR, TRC and PDF reports are kept with the closure for reference, and you type their losses in.

Who sets it up and keeps it running?

We do. Managed Installs sets it up, loads your records, maps it to your layers, trains your crew and keeps it running.

What does it cost?

It depends on your network and what you need set up. Talk to us and we will give you a clear number.
